I was first approached by Community Finance to review a presentation that they were preparing as the centerpiece of a pitch to potential investors. The presentation needed to be both concise enough to fit in the allotted time, and complete enough to satisfy people who were being asked to write checks for a considerable amount of money.
We did two run-throughs of the presentation and I gave them my feedback on everything from how to make the presentation more focused and engaging, to how it could be better structured to help their audience absorb and store the amount of information that was being presented.
Those sessions led to a conversation with their CEO about another project they were considering: creating a series of videos to educate their clients on the basics of personal finance and home ownership. He and I did a series of interviews, along with interview coaching and editing of the footage, for them to use as a prototype for what has since become a new business venture for the company.
